Deadly Plane Crash near Taipei Kills 12

12 people have died after TransAsia flight GE 235 crashed into the Keelung River after clipping a taxi on a highway during its descent.

As of 14:56, 27 people have been injured and 11 are still unaccounted for. The flight was headed for Quemoy Island, part of the Kinmen string of islands off the Fujian coast. There were 58 people onboard the flight altogether, 31 of whom were mainland Chinese.

Rescue teams are still trying to rescue people still trapped inside the plane.
