A smuggler who was caught attempting to cross into China from Hong Kong with 94 iPhones strapped to his body like a suit of armour has been riduculed online and mockingly dubbed ‘Apple Man’ (苹果侠-侠 meaning ‘hero’, is commonly used for superheroes such as Iron Man.)
Officials pulled the man aside after he was seen walking in a ‘weird’ way, ‘as though he was carrying a heavy load’, according to People’s Daily. After checking his luggage they made him walk through the metal detector, which was immediately set off.
They then discovered that he had 12 kg worth of iPhone 5, 5s and 6’s taped to his chest, torso and legs. The total cost of the devices has been estimated at more than 300,000 RMB.
The maximum sentence for exporting goods from Hong Kong without declaring them is 7 years in prison on top of a millions of RMB fine and the confiscation of all smuggled property-and to add insult to injury, the guy is now being mercilessly mocked online.

He must have seen a hot local girl or something while going through customs and got a bad case of morning wood. Gives a whole new meaning to "having a tent". Feel sorry for the fella.
