Motorists who were endangering public safety by hugging and kissing whilst driving have had their photos published online alongside a public scolding and a fine.

The photos, published on December 30, by Yangxin police, show one couple kissing at a red light, whilst the other shows a man driving with a woman on his lap. The photos were published with a reminder not to get too ‘romantic’ whilst driving and to respect the rules of the road.

The kissing couple were fined 50 RMB for failing to wear a seat belt, whilst the other couple were fined 200 RMB for ‘displaying driving behaviour that is obstructive to safety.’

Okay... But texting or talking on your phone is okay? Or how about turning into oncoming traffic blocking like 300 cars because YOU MUST TURN NOW. Ah well, one must abandon all logic in China.

Yeah... It seems to be affection they object to, not atrocious driving. --- As a few posters have pointed out before: Kissing in public is considered shameful in China. Doing a shit isn't.
