People Go Crazy for Christmas Day Egg Give-away

People Go Crazy for Christmas Day Egg Give-away

Looking at these pictures, you wouldn’t be amiss in thinking that it was a line for Spring Festival train tickets or a One Direction concert; however, it wasn’t tickets that had people lining round the block on a freezing Christmas morning in Shandong; it was eggs.

One shopping mall in Weifang, Shandong Province decided to hold a promotion on December 25, giving away coupons for free eggs. Word obviously spread fast, as bargain-hungry Weifang shoppers began to line up around eight in the morning to get their hands on some free eggs.

The baffling thing was that there weren’t even that many free eggs- each coupon only gave you one egg, so most people didn’t even get a half-dozen eggs for their troubles.

As promotion goes, the people who queue up for a free egg aren't the ideal target market for your shopping center. But hey, as long as we all just look busy, right ?

"The people who queue up for a free egg aren't the ideal target market for your shopping center." Haha! I believe you are too competent at marketing to have a marketing job here.
