A photo of hospital staff linking arms and posing for a photo in the middle of an operation has drawn heat and caused outrage online, leading to the sacking of the hospital’s deputy director.
The deputy director has also been fined three months’ salary as punishment, as he is responsible for staff supervision.
The photo was taken to mark the closing of the old operating theatre and the opening of a new one.
Everyone captured in the photograph has been asked to apologize and fined three months’ salary. The head nurse and head of anesthesiology were also fined the equivalent of three months’ bonuses.
The woman who posted the photos online got them from a Wechat group and says that she posted them as an example of how not to behave during surgery; however, she later removed the photos and expressed that she hoped people would stop criticizing the staff.

What did they do? Take a photo....good grief! I suppose someone might have been playing a little music too? Perhaps there was some banter going on also...My God! Seems nothing compared to what really goes on in an operating theatre...Heheheheh....If only you all knew! Bloody hell, lighten up. And give the staff back their money!
