Internet Goes Crazy Over Xi Jinping Top Ranking by Harvard Survey

Internet Goes Crazy Over Xi Jinping Top Ranking by Harvard Survey
Dec 18, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Results of a survey ranking world leaders’ approval ratings has gone viral in the mainland over the past 24 hours, after Xi Jinping was ranked top in both domestic and international categories.

The survey, conducted by the Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, questioned people from 30 countries across the globe.

Xi came top in both the domestic and international categories with Chinese participants showing the highest level of confidence in their leader regarding domestic and international affairs, with an approval rating of 9/10. Putin was next with 8.7/10.

He was also rated top by respondents from other countries, closely followed by Indian Prime Minister Modi and German Chancellor Angela Merkel.

Xi’s administration has worked hard at cultivating a ‘man of the people’ image of Xi since he became Chairman in 2012 and publicity stunts where the leader eats in local fast food restaurants and venturing outside during airpocalyptic weather have earned him praise from the general public.

Those people praising him are the same sort that would praise his idols, Mao and Dung (pun intended, yeah, p-u-n) XiaoPing.

'The survey, conducted by the Harvard Kennedy School’s Ash Center for Democratic Governance and Innovation, questioned people from 30 countries across the globe'. (1) Who, students/staff there who've never lived in China? (2) HOW MANY are questioned?

Man of the people, yeah right... Last week-end, he came to Nanjing for the 1937 massacre ceremony. Many factories and construction sites were shut-down, to have a cleaner air for the day Big Xi came. Once he left, back to normal.
