15 Tons of Drugs Seized in Guangzhou by End of October

By the end of October this year, Guangzhou police had detained over 20,000 suspects in 23,000 related drug cases. A total of 15 tons of drugs were seized too, all as part of China’s nationwide war on drugs.

Deng Jianwei, director of drug enforcement for the Guangdong provincial department of public security said that fighting drugs in this region was an especially difficult task, due to connections into Southeast Asia, Ecns news reports.
