A foreigner – of the unspecified kind –took it upon himself to stop a driver from driving into a bike lane in Beijing.
Beijing’s Yaojiayuan was subject to an unusual incident as the foreigner put his bike across the bike path, blocking it off from a car. The car honked but the foreigner did not budge. Bicycle lanes in the city are often full of cars trying to avoid traffic jams, making it dangerous for cyclists.
His actions have gone viral on the Chinese web received approval from many Chinese netizens.

what about car lanes filled with electric bkes ?... will this foreogner stop them as well? or is it just aimed at rich/higher class? (inferiority complex)

This is a great example of poor urban planning which only increases the crazy amount of noise pollution. I'm more surprised in my travels to see few parking structures for cars but the sidewalk and bus lanes are good alternatives. haha

When I wait for the light to change before I cross, people usually look back at me and laugh. Like I'm the idiot for not taking my life into my hands. Kudos to this guy though.
