Teacher Reprimanded for Providing Anti-Abortion Materials to Second Graders

Teacher Reprimanded for Providing Anti-Abortion Materials to Second Graders
Nov 12, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A second grade teacher in Beijing’s Tongzhou was reprimanded after it was discovered that the teacher provided her students with graphic anti-abortion materials.

The teacher handed out about 40 newspapers from Hebei province that contained an article about abortions, including graphic pictures of a fetus clamped by forceps, a dead fetus, severed limbs of an aborted child, and more.

The issue was broad to the attention by the authorities when a parent, surnamed Sun, complained after their child had expressed fear and confusion over the article they were required to read carefully by the teacher. Netizen’s opinions were divided – some felt that girls should be made aware of the procedure, while others felt the material was wholly inappropriate.

Punished for showing the reality of abortion. At least she wasn't sent to a labour camp... oh wait, they shut those down, right?

What reality? The reality of a fetus which doesn't even know of its own existence and feels no pain being aborted? Considering it to be a human being is simply sentimentalism, with a sexist purpose behind it.

Second graders in middle school, high school or what? This is China you must specify exactly. If it was second grade High School then what's the problem? Those pictures were published in a newspaper.

Aargh! The teacher was only "reprimanded"? Sexual Education is for sure a good idea in China, but only if the kids are old enough and only, if it is 2neutral" and "politically correct". You can decide by your own, what politically correct in China means.
