Guangdong Woman Named China’s Richest at Net Worth 44 Billion RMB
Nov 03, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A woman from Shunde in Guangdong province has been named China’s richest woman at a net worth of 44 billion RMB.

33 year-old Yang Huiyan was given the title by Hurun Reasearch Institute in their annual polls for her multi-billion RMB fortune- still a lot less than China’s richest man, Ma Yun, whose net worth exceeds 133 billion RMB.

Yang is a majority shareholder of her father’s real estate company, Country Garden Holding, and has been awarded the title for the fourth time in a row. Most of the women who made it on the list have close ties to the real estate and financial sectors.
