On October 18, Jinhua Department Store in Zhejiang pulled a great publicity stunt: a kissing contest. Whichever couple was able to kiss for the longest time, would receive the new iPhone 6 – the one that most people in China tend to be obsessed with.
People from all walks of life participated; with straight, lesbian and gay couples all represented in one big happy, kissing, iPhone-craving family.
Unfortunately, most couples did not make it to the end; but participants said, extremely sweetly, that their love was more important than the final result. We are sure that the couple from Shaoxing that won was pleased though, as their kissing was allegedly the most intense and took the longest.

How long will you kiss for representative democracy? Not as long as for an IPhone 6 is my guess.
