Videos of a Vice- Principal publicly giving forced haircuts to several students has caused a stir online.

On October 10, in Wuzhou, Guangxi, the vice-principal of a school forcibly gave several male students a hair cut, saying that they had come in late, their hair cuts violated school policy- as if this wasn’t humiliating enough, he also got other students and teachers to come and watch as it happened.

An image of the incident made its way online on October 13 and has drawn criticism from netizens, with many commenting that his behaviour was disrespectful, and was detrimental to the students’ growth. However, he also gained approval from several parents and teachers.

When interviewed about the incident, Vice-Principal Huang said his intentions were good, because he didn’t want to see his middle school students imitating Japanese and Korean culture and dressing up like ‘hooligans’. He then went on to say that the forced haircut was ‘helping’ the students to learn the correct aesthetic and values.

"Vice Principle Huang can count himself lucky that wasn't my son ... I'd teach him a painful lesson on touching other people's children. Stupid, self-righteous prick.

Stiggs

I really doubt that it helped the kids learn any 'correct' aesthetics or morals. It will probably just scar them and turn them against self important authority figures.

Foolish guy thinks he can stop the spread of cultural indocrintation with a hair cut. I believe all he did was succeed in making seven sworn enemies for life.

OMG, forced haircuts. I live in China and I am so afraid China will turn into a pervert country like North Korea since our leaders often suck up to North Korea. I hope their creepy doctrine will not spread into China!!
