Firewall to Restrict Foreign TV Shows in Quantity and Content

In a new attempt to retain more control over foreign media content available in China, China’s top media regulator has declared that overseas television programs will be restricted, China Daily reports.

Last week, the State Administration of Press, Publication, Radio, Film and Television made the announcement that foreign content without public screening and distribution licenses will not be allowed to stream on video websites.

This is not the first time, and we were warned a while ago in March when initial restrictions were put in place.

Always make me laugh at how much death and violence is show in some Chinese shows during the daytime when kids can see it, and yet foreign shows are the evil people need protecting from.
