Factory Workers in Dongguan Strike after Company Cancels Moon Cakes, Bonus
Sep 10, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Factory workers at a company which supplies Apple have gone on strike after their company reneged on their promise of moon cakes and Mid-Autumn bonuses.

Hundreds of workers walked out after the company cancelled the customary Mid-Autumn presents of moon cakes, and more importantly, a 600 RMB bonus. They blocked nearby roads causing huge traffic jams all morning before eventually being persuaded back to the factory at around 11:00.

Whether or not the strike was effective and their stingy company coughed up wasn’t reported.

They better get back to work tomorrow, I sense an unmarked black van full of thugs stopping by to give these workers a beatdown for their protest efforts.
