The third Senior Officials’ Meeting of the Asia-Pacific Economic Cooperation (APEC) will be held in Beijing over 16 days from August 6-21.

In order to ensure better air quality and ease congestion during this period, the local government will cut government vehicle use by 70 percent. They are also encouraging local residents to contribute to the effort by opting to take public transport rather than drive their own cars.
