Man Dies of Brain Hemorrhage Whilst Watching World Cup
Jun 17, 2014 By eChinacities.com

China’s first (and hopefully last) world cup mortality has struck. A 39 year old Shanghainese man was rushed to hospital at 03:00 on Sunday, from a stroke brought on by a brain hemorrhage. He was pronounced dead the same day at 21:00.

The patient, Zhou, was at home watching the Uruguay vs. Costa Rica match when he suffered from the hemorrhage. Relatives said that he had already stayed up for two nights to watch the games and that he had a previous record of high blood pressure.

Shanghai’s hospitals reported an increase in emergency patients over the weekend suffering from conditions related to sleep deprivation, although drunken football merriment is no doubt as guilty a culprit.

When chinese people like something, they absolutely take it to another (few) levels. It's insane.

Just have the games recorded and broadcast during the evening and night instead of the normal propaganda stuff on TV. The games are already recorded on the official website and other places during the local broadcast. The younger generation is staying up all night watching online matches, let them exhaust themselves.

This has absolutely nothing to where and when the damn games are. A dumbass who overindulges in anything sadly deserves the consequences.

I think the world cup should just always be in Europe or Africa (because of time zones). Like that there won't be such a big time difference for any country.
