Pictures emerged online recently of a half naked, tattooed cab driver, smoking and directing traffic after forcing a police officer off her traffic island, in Xuzhou. The man stayed there for 20 minutes before police reinforcements showed up.
Witnesses said that the driver, surnamed Wang, pulled up next to the officer to ask for directions; he must have been extremely dissatisfied with the answer, as he then proceeded to pull the female officer off her post.
According to his employers, Wang has worked as a taxi driver for six years and has been praised for his services; he has been known to give free rides to children and the elderly. He has however also been reported for ‘erratic’ behavior, such as pulling over in the middle of a shift to burn paper money and kowtow to his ancestors.
Wang was let off by police with a ‘stern warning’. The taxi company he works for is currently investigating the incident.

what is everyone talking about? This guy should be praised. Have you seen the traffic cops here? They do nothing! Now imaging A HUGE tattooed guy with a baton stopping traffic. I would bet anything that for that half hour, traffic was smooth sailing. I applaud you good sir.

We would hear how Chinese never behave like this, and it's proof that "foreigners" don't obey the laws, unlike the civilized Chinese.

It had to have been a female police officer, cowards like this pick on the weak. 20 minutes for help to arrive? And they let him off without punishment?
