This therapy is not for the faint hearted; photographs of a man having his crotch set on fire as part of a relaxing massage were shared online yesterday, to the incredulity and delight of netizens who likened the man to a ‘roast turkey’.  

The massage is supposed to enhance flexibility, strengthen the kidneys and improve blood circulation and is apparently ‘warm and comfortable.’ The man in the photographs definitely seems un-phased as he relaxes into his ‘massage’.

The therapy is in three cycles and also involves having a rope soaked in Chinese medicine placed on your back before being wrapped in plastic and hot towels. The therapist then pours alchohol on the area and sets it alight.

Two or three therapists are supposedly on hand with wet towels in case things go out of hand, which is reassuring, kind of.
