Man Spends 250,000 RMB on Transformers Tickets to Show Up Ex Girlfriend

Man Spends 250,000 RMB on Transformers Tickets to Show Up Ex Girlfriend
Jun 25, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A man spent 250,000 RMB on booking out two IMAX cinemas in Beijing on Friday, all in the name of revenge.

The man announced his purchase on Weibo and it was reposted nearly 90,000 times. After people doubted the veracity of the statement, he posted pictures of invoices and agreements that he’d made with the cinemas as evidence.

People who reposted the information had a chance of winning free cinema tickets according to the man’s Weibo page. He is hoping that his ex girlfriend will see what he has done and regret her decision to leave him seven years ago. She apparently left him because he couldn’t afford two movie tickets, although that may have just been an excuse because this guy seems pretty intense.

It takes a long time in China to actually meet a very good person, down to Earth, humble (despite family's budget), and so on.

Prolly he have already earning big bucks and this is only a snack for him at 250000rmb.. well revenge is sweet.. it makes him feel good and he can move on from that.. sometimes money isnt everything.. wat makes him feel real good and move on without regrets is more important..his pride.. There are many things in life that you have to get over..there is alot people who is on the brink of dying, started to regret alot of things that he din do..so at least he has done it...

Can someone help me please! I cant understand this. "A man spent 250,000 RMB on booking out two IMAX cinemas in Beijing on Friday, all in the name of revenge." Girl breaks up with boy. Boy spends 7 years saving up 250,000rmb. (instead of finding another girl) Boy spends 250,000rmb buying movies tickets he does not need or intend to use or resell. (instead of buying a car, instead of buying a house, instead of buying an actual business like let's say a movie theatre) And him being out 250,000rmb with nothing to show for it (no money, no girl, no house, no car, no movie tickets, nothing) is revenge against her who is probably happily married and not even aware of this. Either I need to sue Websters, Oxford and Longman for having the wrong definition for the word 'revenge' or there is a mis-translation and Chinese have no concept of 'revenge'.

u got it wrong... it's not boy saves up 7 years for 250,000rmb with no house and no car.. it's boy made it in life with 250,000rmb to spare, but couldn't find his ex-girl to show her up from 7 years ago... as far as holding grudges go, yes, he held one.. but so did Michael Jordan, evidenced by his hall of fame speech on his high school coach from 30 years ago.. so ye.. nothing to see here, happens everywhere in the world...

There are many women who love a man for everything about him and still leave because he is too poor. I sympathize with the fellow. Maybe for him that was his greatest love and by buying out those cinemas he felt vindicated. It's unnecessarily a poor way to spend 250,000rmb but a great way to get attention and feel vindicated. Kudos to him!

That's too bad, he could have bought a few nice girls for that amount of money in China... sorry I mean marry them and hand over money to their family... basically the same thing. Chinese hold grudges like no other lol.

But strangely never hold grudges against people who actually wrong them.

Doesn't he know that when a girl breaks up with you, you put her in a suitcase?
