On May 21, Beijing introduced its first electric car rental drive service, located at the Tsinghua University Science Park. Currently, there are 15 electric cars in operation, five of which are available for test-driving. Rental prices stand at 49 RMB for two hours, 99 RMB for a day, and 1,999 RMB for a month.
Within the year, Beijing also plans to feature similar services in all 12 of its science parks, with future plans set to introduce the service to in Huilongguan, Wangjing, and Tiantongyuan as well.
