Man Attempts to Fly to Singapore with Live Birds in his Pants

Man Attempts to Fly to Singapore with Live Birds in his Pants
Jun 09, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A man gave a whole new meaning to ‘budgie smuggler’ over the weekend, when he attempted to get through airport security with two small birds tucked under the cuffs of his trousers.

The security team at Baiyun airport in Guangzhou stopped the man when they saw that the bottoms of his trousers looked ‘bloated’. Upon inspection they discovered two small birds wrapped in white cloth and concealed in his trouser cuffs.

The man explained that he wanted to take the birds to Singapore to escape the poor air quality in China. Unfortunately the airline doesn’t carry live animals, and the man had to leave his feathered friends behind.

The man will hopefully be reunited with his pets soon, but for now, he will have to settle for having joined the ranks of great failed smuggling attempts, including the woman who tried to smuggle gold in her bra and the 65 year old British man who was caught with cocaine in his underwear after airport security staff noticed him ‘behaving abnormally’.
