Passengers Arrested after Refusing to Turn off Cell Phone on Plane
Jun 04, 2014 By eChinacities.com

Two passengers on a Shanghai Airlines flight from Macao were detained for refusing to turn off their cell phones and then beating a fellow passenger who dared to try and persuade them.

52 year old Wang argued with flight attendants after he was caught using his cell phone during the flight. 47 year old Liu, a fellow passenger on the flight, was sitting behind Wang and tried to persuade him to comply, and got hit in the face by Wang and his companion, 26 year old Li, for his efforts.

The rest of the flight continued without problems, and Wang and Li were arrested immediately upon arrival. They were sentenced to 10 days in detention and fines of up to 500 RMB.

Give a dumb some money and he will use it for dumb purposes. I agree with you, but I hope foreigners understand that not all Chinese are like that.

What? They let them fly on the plane after acting like children... and then arrested them on arrival? Why didn't they remove them from the plane before takeoff? I wouldn't want to ride on the plane with these idiots. Especially after abusing someone and arguing with air attendants. What airline was this?
