Hunan Man Spends 10 Years Inventing Drivable Suitcase

We’ve all been there: you’re moving house, heading off on holiday or simply moving things from place to place, you can’t get a taxi, and you’re sick of lugging your suitcase behind you. Well one gentleman from Hunan province has come up with a solution to all your travelling needs; a suitcase scooter that you can drive.

His invention only weighs 3.5 kilograms itself, but can sit two people and travel for up to 60 kilometers at 20 kilometers per hour. He first came up with the idea in 1999 when he was in America to accept an award at the Einstein invention expo. “After I landed in America, I was so tired, and I also had to take my luggage and I thought, ‘if only there were a suitcase that could carry people…’”

If only. Knowing that such a fabulous invention was yet to exist, he spent the next ten years developing his ‘scootercase’ and has now patented it. Watch out, we may be entering a new era of airport travel.

So, he was in the USA to accept an award at the "Einstein Invention Expo"? Methinks an 'inventor' is making up bogus credentials and experience to embellish his resume! I'd google the Expo, but internet is playing up at the moment.

This is why China has achieved nothing in 5000 years. 10 years to make that? I could have knocked that together over a weekend.

Thinking exactly the same, I could have done it on a hungover Sunday.
