Beijing Bendy Bus Breaks in Half in Middle of Road, No Injuries
Apr 11, 2014 By eChinacities.com

On the morning of April 9 a No. 39 bus just broke right in half on the intersection of Jiannei Dajie and Beijingzhan Jie. The back half of the bendy bus broke off and passengers found themselves tilted forward at a 15 degree angle.

Fortunately no one was harmed and the bus was quickly evacuated, but as yet no one has any explanation for the incident. Authorities are now warning passengers not to sit in the bendy part of the bus and sit in the proper seating areas, which isn’t particularly reassuring.
