Chengdu scored the highest with a total of 18.8 out of a possible highest score of 20. Shanghai’s Pudong airport came in last with a mere 9.3. In positions 2 to 5 were Guangzhou Baiyun Airport (13.5), Beijing Capital Airport (11.7), Shanghai Hongqiao Airport (11) and Shenzhen Bao’an Airport (10.3) respectively.

I regularly use Pudong, while the airport is nice enough, it's convenient to get to considering how far it is away from the city, but it has two big problems: 1. The amenities are really poor for a large, modern airport like Pudong, there are a few overpriced, poor restaurants and shops, and that's all. At least the WIFI works. 2. Delays, holy crap the delays. There are of course some good things as well, immigration usually goes smoothly and the people are friendly enough (for being in China)

I have used Chengdu airport once. Nothing special. Efficient, kinda drab ( 2010 ) Pudong, for a busy airport, it is pretty smooth running, bright, spacious and staff are reasonably friendly. I have used it four times. Cannot understand the lower ranking

I used Chengdu airport a few times; travel went smoothly enough, but it didn't seem *that* remarkable. My beef is with ATMs and English, but I guess those problems are universal in China. It actually scored 25% higher than the 2nd airport? Sounds suspect.
