From March 15, Goods Bought Online Can Be Returned Within 7 Days Without Reason

The Internet Transaction Management Plan comes into effect on Saturday March 15. The Plan states that goods bought online can be returned within seven days of purchase without justification (excludes edible products of course).

The move also plans to crack down on sellers who don’t use their real identity, who delete bad reviews or perform other acts of unfair competition. The violators will face penalties such as fines or bans. All positive steps for a country becoming more and more reliant on online shopping.

Is this relating to taobao or just general online selling? If it relates to taobao it is a massive step in the right direction. I would imagine a large percentage of online purchases occur using taobao in any case or that other one which is called JD or something similar.

Here's a thought, have a 3rd party agency governing over the online responsibility of the these sellers and the selling portals. Have the local police enforce this as potential online theft, to guarantee the money and product exchange as fair. Tie together the major banks with this idea too, they could be affected by fraud very quickly.

And if someone refuses to allow you to return said item, or refuses to give you back your money? Where can you report it?
