One lecturer at a university in Wuchang, Hubei Province has come up with a novel way of improving her students’ communication skills and confidence. She has assigned homework where the students in her class have to meet fellow students of the opposite sex on campus and try to find out specific information about them. The goal is to get their name, number and room number among others.

The guidelines for the assignment are that the students must approach their target by themselves and they may not tell the person they are talking to about the project. The lecturer hopes that this undertaking will improve their communication skills and their ways of expressing themselves. Sounds a little daunting.
