The social business network, LinkedIn, has paved its way onto the screens, and into the homes, of the Chinese speaking world. With a membership of 227 million already, 4 million of which live in China, the network is set to expand even further…much further.

On February 25 the company announced that it will add a Chinese language feature for users. The move is one that other social media sites have either been unable or unwilling to do due to China’s ongoing censorship controversies.

LinkedIn hopes to rival Tianji and Ushi, the current big shots in Chinese business networking. How its compliance with local internet laws will influences its business in the country will only be exposed by time.
