Other Chinese Cities Follow Suit on Dongguan’s Prostitution Crackdown
Feb 17, 2014 By eChinacities.com

16 cities in nine provinces throughout China have followed Dongguan’s example and implemented a crackdown on prostitution. At the end of last week 4,800 police in Harbin, Heilongjiang raided 2,700 hotels and saunas, resulting in 27 people being detained and 1,000 people being questioned.

Other cities to implement an ‘exterminate yellow’ project, so named because of the color yellow’s association with pornography in China, include Hangzhou, Lanzhou, Jinnan, and Guizhou.
