On Friday early evening, police killed eight “terrorists” who had attacked officers with machetes and were driving cars with gas cylinders inside, according to state media. Three others died while carrying out attacks in Wushi county, Aksu prefecture and four were injured. Police arrested one person.

This is the newest in a string of attacks, and points to growing unrest in the region.

If I read the report correctly, the eight who were killed were already gassed. Three died and four injured but they only arrested one. So how many were there altogether?

8 Were killed in one attack. In another attack, 3 were killed, and 4 were injured. Assuming that the person who was arrested was one of the 4 injured, that makes... 8+(3+4)=8+7=15. At least 15 people involved.
