Beijing enjoyed a record number of visitors over the past week. It is estimated that 9.75 million people came to Beijing to celebrate the New Year, a 12.3% increase on last year’s numbers. Ditan park temple fair was a particular hit with over 1.14 million visitors. In addition, Beijing’s top 120 clothes stores reported a total revenue of 4.07 billion RMB, up 8.5%. It seems, even the Baozi shop, made famous by Xi Jinping in December was a ‘Chunjie’ hit.
