Man Sentenced to Life in Prison for Poisoning Dumplings
Jan 21, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A Hebei local has been sentenced to life in prison for injecting pesticides into the dumplings at the factory he worked at in 2008. The injected dumplings, which are also exported to Japan, lead to the illness of 13 people both in mainland China and Japan. The stunt also cost the dumpling manufacturer a staggering 5.5 million RMB.

The culprit, a Mr Lyu Yueting, said he was merely trying to attract the attention of management who he felt weren’t paying him enough. He is also alleged to have sent several letters to management, anonymously, admitting to the act. The controversy caused global concern at the time as it took place with the Olympic Games in Beijing just a few months away.

Funny, are Japanese in the streets burning and protesting Chinese foods? Are they vowing to never ever forget? Did the Chairman HuJintao apologize to the Japanese people? Japan is a civilized country, a shining example for uncivilized countries (they can reform).
