Woman Loses Millions to Fraudster Posing as Police

Woman Loses Millions to Fraudster Posing as Police
Jan 09, 2014 By eChinacities.com

A businesswoman in Guangdong, Ms Wong, fell victim to a fraud scam and lost 27 million RMB. According to Ms. Wong a police officer from the PSB called her up and told her that her original account was not safe and that she should set up an online bank transfer and put your money in a new account. For some reason, despite being business savvy enough to accumulate 27 million RMB, she didn’t double check why the police knew her money wasn’t safe.

The ‘police officer’ then told her she should download an “e-currency account security guard” to protect the funds. Again, she compiled without second guessing and it turns out this “security guard” was a Trojan virus and all her money has disappeared.

Ms. Wong has now gone to the real police and the case is under investigation.

Perhaps she was so busy ripping people off to get the 27 million that it was just karma that the 27 million was stolen from her. I mean... come on... who could be this foolish if they honestly and intelligently earned the 27 mil?
