Man Stabbed in Dalian For Taking Too Long At the ATM

Man Stabbed in Dalian For Taking Too Long At the ATM
Dec 16, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Getting frustrated waiting in line is usual. But this particular Dalian man took his frustration out in a rather over-the-top and brutal way. After waiting in line for about 20 minutes, Zhou Mou was becoming impatient. He strode over to Liu Mou to have a word with him about taking too long at the ATM, the two men started to argue but things escalated fast when Zhou Mou took out a switch blade and stabbed Liu Mou in the chest.

Zhou Mou is 31 years old and works in the Dalian development zone. His girlfriend was with him when he stabbed Liu Mou. She ran for help but it was too late. The knife had punctured Liu Mou’s heart. He died at the scene.

Zhou Mou is now in police custody.

Bloody Chinese and ATM machines. Idiots will stand there and clean out the whole machine with a line of people waiting to use it. This pisses me off.

Good job stabbing a guy to death in front of his girlfriend, he sounds like a very considerate guy... And yeah, +1 to the 'Why does it take 10 mins to withdraw money'.

I know the feeling, why is it chinese take so damn long at everything? getting money out of the atm? 10 minutes, buying a train ticket? 10 minutes, then one of us go up, atm card in, select english, withdraw, 1000. collect money and go.. time = 1 min max. get to the train counter, say where we are going and buy the next train ticket there. total time = 20 seconds. (there are apps to see the train times, so why ask the person in the booth then argue about why there are not more trains??)

The guy forgot his pin number...that happens. And why was this man carrying a weapon? Maybe they knew each other and had a beef going on...I'm just saying, you never know.

We all experience lots of frustration here in China and have this site (among others) to vent them. But the Chinese, however patient they seem or are, and however used to suppress negative emotions, are affected on a daily basis by at least some of the same things. It is not surprising that once every while one of them reaches his breaking point and exhibits random aggressive behavior. With circumstances of daily life changing at such a pace as it is now, one might expect more stories like this to come. Many more.
