At around 20:00 on the evening of December 13, a case that involves the killing of a foreigner took place at the Haidilao Hotpot Restaurant on Zhangyang Road in the new Pudong District of Shanghai
That evening, a man of German nationality was dining near the entrance of the restaurant along with a woman; then, a man walked into the restaurant and became involved in heated argument with the two diners. The man subsequently pulled out a knife that he was carrying and began to use it against the German man. The knife attack lasted approximately 5 minutes.
In the end the wait staff notified the police, and for the next half hour the Haidilao restaurant was closed for business. When police arrived at the scene they put Mr Wu (male, from Shandong Province) into custody. 120 emergency medical personnel confirmed that the German man had died. According to Mr Wu, he had stabbed and killed this man because he suspected his wife of having an improper relationship with this foreign man.

why chinese don't say anything about this case? I think he doesn't know how make his wife happy like many traditional mans, kill only for jealous in all around the world means LOSER... I don't think he'll get the death penalty, but if the killer were laowai and de victim chinese, government probably will kill him and made even hard the life for all foreigners in china... I'm really sorry for the german guy family and i'm sorry too about many spoiled people's mentality.

Hmmm.....so by killing the foreigner the problem got solved........why didnt he confront his wife........after this she will be looking for a different foreigner

5 minutes? What were the other people in the restaurant doing? Chairs, knifes, plates, and anything possible should've been hurled at that guy from dozens of people sitting in the restaurant.

And of course, this being China, the wait staff and the other patrons just stood there while the man was being stabbed to death. Any Chinese man, even with a knife, is not that threatening.
