Woman Establishes New Political Party, Names Bo Xilai as Chairman
Nov 11, 2013 By eChinacities.com

A woman named Wang Zheng has founded a political party in Beijing called the Zhi Xian party and has named former Chinese politician Bo Xilai as its chairman.

Bo, 64, is currently serving life in prison after being convicted by the Chinese government of abuse of power and bribery, among other things. Although the Chinese political system does allow for other political parties, these merely serve as enabling figureheads to the Communist Party rather than true opposition parties.

The purpose of the new party, according to Wang, is to right the wrongs of an economic system which has been detrimental to a majority of the population for the past 30-odd years. She aims to bring about ‘common prosperity’, meaning a more even distribution of wealth in China.

Wang admits that although she has written letters to Bo, she doesn’t actually have his permission to name him chairman of the party. If Bo does end up spending the rest of his days in prison, he will end up being the figurehead of a fake political party in China.

I'd offer some kind of opinion, but, alas, I'm afraid to. Just a shy kinda guy I guess. All the best Ms Wang, take it easy.
