China to Invest 5 Billion RMB to Protect Major Cities from Air Pollution

According to information released on the website for the Ministry of Finance, the central government will allocate 5 billion RMB in funds towards tackling air pollution in Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei and their surrounding vicinity (an area that includes the provinces and territories of Beijing, Tianjin, Hebei, Inner Mongolia, Shanxi, and Shandong), a move that will mostly be concentrated upon the heavily polluted province of Hebei.
