China Ranked Fourth Wealthiest Country in the World

Wealth-X and the United Bank of Switzerland have published a list of the “2013 International List of Ultra Wealthy People”. In 2012, the report stated that the total number of ultra wealthy people worldwide number 199,000 people, and that they have accrued in excess of 27.8 trillion USD between them. The USA and Europe are the two locations in which the ultra rich tend to congregate to the total of 10,000 ultra rich persons. The number of ultra wealthy in China makes it the fourth wealthiest country on this list.

So a handful of ultrarich people make a country the richest or so-and-so manieth richest country in the world. Now let's measure from the other side: the ultrapoor people. Given the huge population, it wouldn't surprise me if China were the fourth poorest country in the world then. PS Last time I looked, Europe wasn't a country. PPS 10000 ultrarich in the U.S. and Europe? What about the other 189000? Ah! The U.S. and Europe rank 19 and 27 on this list. BS statistics for SB's...
