The media sensation that is the giant rubber duck is coming to Beijing in September. Its innovator, Dutch conceptual artist Florentijn Hoffman, signed an agreement on June 22 during Beijing Design Week which will see the 10m-high duck hit the canals within the third ring road in September. The exhibition is set to last for around a month.

The creation gained international media attention when it was introduced in Hong Kong’s Tsim Sha Tshui harbor back in early May. Some of you may remember that the duck mysteriously deflated on May 14, though some Hong Kong netizens claimed it was Mainlanders’ cigarettes which caused the duck to go down.
