Prada Called “Copycats” by Netizens Over Stylish Shenzhen School Shirts
Jun 19, 2013 By eChinacities.com

Despite Prada (and just about every other international brand) being at the hands of China’s very own copycats most of the time, netizens have called Prada “copycats” after noticing that one of Prada’s new men’s polo shirts bears a striking resemblance to a shirt of a middle school in Shenzhen.

The photos, which compare the two shirts, have recently gone viral on Weibo with many netizens commenting on the similarities. According to local rag Daily Sunshine, the uniforms have been in use since 2006 at the school.

There’s a distinct price different between the two however, with the Prada shirt clocking in at a hefty 1,580 RMB on Taobao while the uniform shirts cost only 35 RMB.

A simple polo is not a Prada original design. There is nothing fake or stolen about this design, and only the biggest tool in the world would spend over 1,000 RMB on a simple blue polo.
