Sanya Swimmers Pose with Dying Dolphin

Sanya Swimmers Pose with Dying Dolphin
Jun 18, 2013 By eChinacities.com

On June 16, an injured dolphin was seen struggling in the shallows of the Dadong Sea in Sanya, Hainan. Animal rescue workers were soon called to help; however while they were on their way, a group of swimmers decided to lift the animal out of the water and pose for photos with it.

It was later reported that the dolphin died around midnight while being treated due to excessive bleeding from the tail. The photos of the swimmers have since gone viral on the internet with many netizens condemning their actions.

In only weeks after the scandal regarding the boy in Egypt who defaced an ancient relic, it seems Chinese tourists aren’t helping themselves with regard to their international image.

My stomach turned when I saw and read this. Sadly, if you beat the hell out of them, they will run to the police, lie through their teeth and the police will believe them because "everyone knows foreigners lie." Poor dolphin.

Agree about Chinese tourists. They can't complain about the way they are treated and attacked when they are abroad when they really don't know how to, or want to be good citizens.
