Woman Loses 60,000 RMB after Termites Eat Her Cash

A 60 year-old woman from Foshan, Guangdong, recently lost 60,000 RMB after a huge wad of cash was shredded to pieces by termites in her home.

The woman, who preferred to store her cash in a plastic bag at home rather than in a bank, received a cash wad of 400,000 RMB from her family, which she stored in her wardrobe. In April this year, she was planning to decorate her house, and when she was organizing things in her wardrobe, she was shocked to discover that most of it had been ripped to shreds – by termites.

After retrieving the world’s most expensive confetti, the woman then washed the cash to get all the slime off and then took the pieces to the local branch of the Agricultural Bank of China. As most of the notes had been defiled and weren’t complete, the bank was only able to exchange 90,000 RMB of the money.

On June 7 however, an employee from the Agricultural Bank of China paid a visit to the main branch of the Foshan Bank of China, under the woman’s commission. Luckily, the Bank of China were able to forge out around 250,000 RMB from the shredded cash.

Together with the previously salvaged 90,000 RMB, the woman ended up losing roughly 60,000 RMB over the ordeal.

I think maybe she should have had stashed her stash under her mattress. I don't trust the Chinese banks either. The lumps will reassure her every night that she is still financially liquid. The motions on top of the mattress will definitely keep the termites at bay. Still losing $960 or thereabouts is not good.

Termites can also eat cash; this is something new for me. Now I should go for the home inspection services. http://pestspecialists.blogspot.in/

This is so bad that a woman had gone with so much loss only because with the problem of termites. They are really an irritating source. http://www.azbestpest.com/az-pest-control/
