Five years ago, not long before the Olympic Games thrust the world’s spotlight on to China, an ambitious website called eChinacities.com went online with the goal of providing travel and lifestyle info to the many visitors and expats living in China. Post by post, the website provided readers with a colorful and practical view of living in China as a foreigner. Since posting the very first article about the challenges of learning Chinese, the site has literally posted thousands of popular articles from tips about buying property in China to deciphering the hospital system to cross-cultural dating and lots more in between. Since then, it has grown into one of the largest portal sites for expats in China, with job info, classifieds, listings and Q&A for over 42 cities across the country. Of course, none of this would have been possible without the support and participation of all our valued readers.
