1,200 Dead Pigs Found in Shanghai River

Rivers in China are known for their ability to harbor strange properties, and it seems that Shanghai has kept up the high standards. It was reported on March 10 that over 1,200 dead pigs were discovered floating in Shanghai’s Huangpu River. Authorities have stated that the pigs would be collected from the river and handled in a safe way, and that water quality has not been affected by the incident—still, you might want to stay away from local river fish for a while... According to the tags on their ears, the pigs apparently originate from farms upstream.
