The Chinese Academy of Sciences recently published the results of a test regarding the research and control of smog in the atmosphere. The results show that the recent flurry of heavy air pollution present in Beijing, Tianjin, and Hebei Province contains high amounts of nitrogenous organic particles, and have warned of its dangers as it is “similar to the photochemical smog seen in Los Angeles during the 20th century.”
