Feb 08, 2013 By eChinacities.com

A major cold front has hit Southern China and is expected to bring heavy snow showers and a rapid drop in temperatures over the next two days. Commuters are urged to travel with extra caution, as many areas will be hit by snow. In particular, the middle and lower reaches of the Yangtze, Hubei, Anhui, Zhejiang, Hunan and Jiangxi are all expected to be hit by moderate to heavy snow showers and the China Meteorological Agency has issued blue snow warnings for a number of areas in these provinces. Meanwhile, sleet is expected to hit central Guizhou, central Hunan and central Jiangxi. Many areas in the Jiangnan region will experience temperature drops of 6-10℃.
