After six months of marriage, a couple consisting of a man from Urumqi and a woman from Guangdong decided to get divorced. The reason for the divorce was both startling and telling at once: as products of the one-child policy, neither of them wanted to go to the other’s hometown to celebrate Spring Festival and thereby leaving their parents alone on the most important day of the year. After failing to reach a compromise, the couple decided to split up. The rising divorce rate in China saw 2.78 million couples split up in 2011, a 7.3% increase on the year before.

Instead of getting divorced. Why couldnt each person just want to thier own paretns house. Or they go together to one parents house, than the other parents comes and visits them. Change this every year. This is just an excusew and not the real reason for the divorce. The real reason for the Divorce is because they are both selfish people. end of story.
