I presume the author has indeed seen different aspects of Chinese people staying in the developed nation. However, that kind of problem not exclusively exist in Chinese community rather exist in all the communities, despite he or she came from a developed nation like US (United States). Let's face it, everybody wants to have a better life and wish to struggle for it, unless you were born with silver spoon in your mouth. I couldn't agree more with the writer that before, deciding to leave the host nation, we really need to do a thorough research about the country that you want to go. See from every perspective and of course, learning the language is essential. Nevertheless, many of the people in the east has a stereotypical thinking that washing dishes in a restaurant is considered something to be ashamed of. That stereotypical mentality we need to evaluate it, really. Because many great personalities has washed dishes to support their life. Besides, what we need to learn from them is that they depend their hands to support their life. However, when we look in the eastern world, most of the people (18 and above) still depends their livelihood and pocket money from their parents or relatives. I know, it's a huge challenge but let's go through it to bolster ourselves into a better and abled person. This is just a brief view of mine that I would like to share with. Hope it make some sense, if not I apologise for wasting your time here.
