the thing is - it goes from 'zero-to-sixty' INSTANTLY. Its really bizarre because there seems to be almost NO sense of scale to the sudden violence against the perceived wrongdoing. A shoplifter goes from being grabbed and given flimsy slaps to SUDDENLY HAVING A CINDER BLOCK SMASHED ON HIS HEAD IN ABSOLUTE LETHAL BRAIN-SPLATTERING FORCE! A dispute over money goes from an awkward punch-kick to SUDDENLY RAMMING A 10' KNIFE INTO HIS THROAT 15 TIMES IN A ROW! It's really bizarre to me because there doesn't seem to be any kind of 'intelligence' whatsoever and zero sense of justice or measure. Honestly I've seen farm animals that actually 'measure' responses quite well (this is nip.. now you get this hard of a bite or x alone deserves 'lethal' retaliations which can be stopped if you stop etc).
