It seems that who wrote this is either not living in china or just hanging around with laowai and the only contact he got with china is via his gf. Mandarin isn't really one of hardest language to learn, in fact in China i think is the easiest one and billions of people have managed to learned it quite good. It has a grammar which is primitive and the tones…well it has just 4 tones. Cantonese has 8 and talking about other asian languages, vietnamese got 6.Or try to learn tibetan or mongolian… And about food…no comment. The worst?is to get killed right on spot because the guy just forget to clean his kitchen and some broken glass ended up in ur rice…the less worst?getting killed after years of year because of the pollution of soil, underground water and lakes…and almost everything is in here…
